New Beginnings

I am a wife and stay-at-home mom of 3 children. I am a dedicated vegan and animal lover. I dabble in yoga and running. I am an introvert at a time in life when there is very little quiet. I have everything I need to live a pretty comfortable life (and I know that and I am so lucky and so grateful) but I’m trying to figure out how to move towards whatever comes next. I feel the need to try something different…outside of my comfort zone. I read a lot about things I find fascinating…veganism, cooking, health, animal welfare, environmental issues, parenting, mindfulness, relationships…and sometimes about the dark side of those subjects. Stuff that I could easily ignore but no longer choose to do so. Keeping one foot on the darker side seems to give me the push I need to learn more and do better every day. Otherwise I find it very easy to slide into a comfortable but ignorant place.

I am interested in making kinder, smarter, more informed choices. I am interested in the truth. I am no longer interested in keeping my personal choices to myself just in case they might make someone uncomfortable.

It is very liberating to get to this point in life!

My goal (for now) is to write about things I find interesting and useful.

One of my favorite sentiments courtesy of Maya Angelou…”Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”
