Vegan Dyeable Easter Eggs

I was super excited to find this website this morning.

Easter Egg Alternatives - EggNots

You can buy ceramic, dyeable Easter eggs!!! They are not cheap…$27.70 for a dozen with shipping…but I am thrilled to have a vegan alternative. In the past we have thrown away a lot of hard boiled eggs because the kids would never eat them…they just want the fun of coloring them. I was thinking I could no longer stomach doing that…but now it’s no longer an issue!

Best Vegan Ice Cream EVER…Luna and Larry’s Coconut Bliss

Salted Caramel & Chocolate

If you haven’t tried this ice cream you are totally missing out! Vegan, organic, creamy, rich, decadent…just delightful. Definitely an indulgence but easily rivals the best dairy-based ice creams on the market. My favorite flavor is Salted Caramel and Chocolate, with good old Vanilla Island a close second…especially when topped with chocolate sprinkles or chips. Chocolate Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate, and Cappuccino are all amazing. They are a bit pricey where I shop (Whole Foods) but worth it! Check out their story and their amazing products at!

New Beginnings

I am a wife and stay-at-home mom of 3 children. I am a dedicated vegan and animal lover. I dabble in yoga and running. I am an introvert at a time in life when there is very little quiet. I have everything I need to live a pretty comfortable life (and I know that and I am so lucky and so grateful) but I’m trying to figure out how to move towards whatever comes next. I feel the need to try something different…outside of my comfort zone. I read a lot about things I find fascinating…veganism, cooking, health, animal welfare, environmental issues, parenting, mindfulness, relationships…and sometimes about the dark side of those subjects. Stuff that I could easily ignore but no longer choose to do so. Keeping one foot on the darker side seems to give me the push I need to learn more and do better every day. Otherwise I find it very easy to slide into a comfortable but ignorant place.

I am interested in making kinder, smarter, more informed choices. I am interested in the truth. I am no longer interested in keeping my personal choices to myself just in case they might make someone uncomfortable.

It is very liberating to get to this point in life!

My goal (for now) is to write about things I find interesting and useful.

One of my favorite sentiments courtesy of Maya Angelou…”Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”
